  Girls Regionals ends versus Oldham County
The girls travelled to Oldham County to begin Region 8 game versus Oldham County.  Oldham County strike early with a goal and held off multiple good attempts by Lady Eagles.  Going into halftime the girls were down 2-0.  After Coach Mozejko halftime, the lady eagles had couple good chances and where denied from the scoreboard.  The final score was 3-0 and congratulation to Girls for three years in a row were Regional Qualifiers.

 

Girls District Finals CAL vs EASTERN

Thursday night at 7pm a rematch with CAL for Distirct 15 championship.  The night started with light raing but the skies clear for a thrilling night of soccer at Eastern.  Coach Jill had the girls ready for the finals and had a scoreless match at halftime with Paige SIdebottom make a wonder save to keep the game scoreless.  The defense held strong for 20 minutes into the second half when CAL broke through with a goal.  Eastern pressured hard to find the equalizing goal but CAL found a second goal to end the game 2-0.  Congratulation to Coach Mozejko Eastern Ealges for Districts runner up and will continue next week in Regional Competion at Oldham County on Monday Oct 17 at 7:30pm.  One way bus leaves at 5pm on Monday.

  Girls BALLARD VS EASTERN

Another thrilling Ballard versus Eastern District Semifinal game.  Ballard scored first goal to take 1-0 into halftime.  Second half after a free kick into the box, Marissa Lemonis finished with a goal to tie the score early in second half.  About 10 minutes later on a free kick around 25 yards from the goal Mackenzie Head found the back of the net.  Jill Mozejko Eastern Eagles played great defense to hold the one goal lead and completed the 2-1 win at Eastern Soccer Field.  District FInal of Eastern versus CAL at 7pm at Eastern.    Congratulation to Coach Mozejko Eastern Ealges will now complete in their third year in a row District 15 Championship.

Boys Win Great Game 4-3 versus Oldham County on Senior Night

 On the night the boys honors the Seniors:  Adam Buazza, Irfad Dervisevic, Simon Dickinson, Brandon Hall, Kasey Mitchell, Ryan Whatley and Austin Zachary the Eagle played a great tight game with 4-3 win.
Eastern Eagles Beat Fern Creek on Senior Night 10-0

Eastern Eagles celebrated the seniors tonight against Fern Creek.  Celebration at half time to honor Sam Gaither, Hannah Goodman, Mackenzie Head, Erin Miller and Paige Sidebottom for their committment to EHS soccer during their high school career.
Eastern Boys ranked #18 in recent 9/26 KHSSCA Poll Eastern Eagles Won North Hardin 8-1

Eastern Eagles traveled to North Hardin for game.  JV started the night well with 7-2 win with multiple goals from Hayley Collins.  The Varsity completed the winning ways with 8-1 win with mulitple assist coming JV team for the loud cheering & support during the game.  
Boys hosted CAL and St. X this week

 Varity won on Tuesday 2-1 versus CAL and follow up with tough loss to St Xavier on Wed 4-0.  The week end with a strong perforance versus Wagener with 6-0 win.
Eastern Eagles Beat Ballard 2-1

Two goals by Marissa Lemonis the Eastern Eagle beat Ballard 2-1.  The night started on good note at JV Eagles beat Ballard 3-0.
Boys travel to KCD

 After the long weekend the boys traveled to KCD on Tues with Varsity playing first and scored a late goal to win 3-2.  Goal scorers where Simon Dickinson, Michael Lewis and Garrett Broxson.  JV complete the winning ways with 2-0 win with goals by Omer Mustic and Alex Valera.  The winning hope to continue on Thursday with the boys hosting the second half of girls/boys Varsity Doubleheader versus Jeffersontown.
Girls win at Butler & KCD

After resting over the long weekend and preparing for 4 games in 5 days, coach Mozejko Eagles traveled to Butler for JV and Varsity game.  The JV opened the night with 5-0 win with goals from 3 - Cali Addington, Emma Kiley & Hayley Collins.  The varsity follow up the night with same score 5-0 with goals from Jordan Gregory, 2 - Morgan Wyman, Sam Gaither and Marissa Lemonis.

Wednesday night Coach Mozejko team played KCD at home.  A close game but Allie Ledford opened the scoring with nice fake of the goalie for first goal.  Game was scoreless through halftime and Erin Miller notch the 2nd goal with shot outside 18 which found upper corner.  The night was not over for Allie as she finished with second goal of the night to leave the final score at 3-0.
No rest for the lady Eagles as they host Jeffersontown Thurs and CAL on Saturday.
Boys travel to Ballard

The boys traveled to Ballard on Wed with JV winning 1-0 on an amazing double header put away by Omer Mustic.  Varsity lost 4-2 in a tightly called game.  Goals by Irfad Dervisevic and Garret Broxson.  The boys travel to KCD on Tuesday and host the seond half of girls/boys Varsity Doubleheader versus Jeffersontown.

Boys versus Bryan Station


Coach Gillum Eastern Eagles opens the season at home versus Bryan Sation.  JV started out on a good note with 1-0 with the goal by Avery Hamrlik.  Varsity follow up with a win 2-1.  More information coming soon.
Coach Gillum took the varsity and JV boys to Collins Soccerama to play Meade County.  Varsity won 4-0 while JV tied 0-0.  Awaiting updates.

Coach Matt Gillum Takes over Boys Program

Coach Gillum takes over the boys soccer program.  After a tough loss in Regionals, Coach Gillum will put together a young team with 13 seniors graduating last year.
Girls play Spencer County & Mercy

The home season final begun for the girls Eastern Eagles and lost on Monday to Spencer County of score 4-1.  The lone goal by Marissa Lemonis.  The girls follow up with a game against Mercy and fought hard through out the night but Mercy won 5-2.  First goal was second corner kick goal of the year by Mackenzie Head and the second goal scored by Erin Miller.  The girls took a rest over labor day weekend and open with four games this week at Butler on Tues, home versus KCD Wed, Jeffersontown Thurs and CAL on Saturday afternoon.

JV/V Girls compete in iHigh Frenzy & Tomahawk Classic

Coach Mozejko 2011 Eagles started the regular season with three games at Dunbar High School in iHigh Frenzy and the JV competing in the Tomahawk Classic in RIchmond.  The Varsity played Tates Creek on Tuesday and lost 6-0, followed with game against Anderson County on Thursday which lost 3-1 with the lone goal by Mackenze Head curling a corner kick into the goal.  Finally a tough 1-0 loss to Lafayette.

JV started there season in Richmond with games against Madison Central on Thursday and Henry Clay on Saturday.

Good progress each game by the girls team which gets no easier with away game at Central Hardin on Monday and visit to Male on Wed.

  JV/V Girls Collins Scrimmage

The 2011 ladies completed there final scrimmage on Saturday where JV and Varsity played Collins in the Collins Soccerama.  The Varsity won the game 6-0 with two goals from Allie Ledford and one each Jordan Gregory, Marissa Lemonis, Charlotte Pruett and Savannah Gregorchik.  The teams is ready to the journey to Lexington to compete in IHigh Soccer Frenzy the first week of school



The JV Eagles played in first scrimmage showed a good effort and lost 3-1 with the lone goal from Megan Reid.  The JV girls are off to Madison this week for the Tomahawk JV Clasic on Tues/Thur/Sat.

  Girls Frankfort Scrimmage

The 2011 ladies drove out to Frankfort for Frankfort Soccerama scrimmage.  The weather was cooler and they faced Harrison County in the state capital.  It was a good follow up for Coach Mozejko to see who the Eagles are playing after practicing for three weeks.  There was no score in the first half but good ball possesion by the Eagles.

Opening second half the Eagles were down a player but this did not stop them as they scored first goal on cross to the middle with Charlotte Pruet finding the top of the net. The Eagles played stronger remainder of the game and a lone late goal tied the score at 1-1.  Overall a good scrimmage for Coach Mozejko to see how the lady Eagles are progressing forward.  Up next is Collns Soccerama where both JV and Varsity is action against Collins High School.
                Girls Bluegrass update

The 2011 ladies season started Saturday morning with Bluegrass games playing Anderson County.  The first game of year was good experience for Coach Mozejko to see all the new players for the Eagles.  Anderson County scores 3 goals in first half but after good halftime adjustment the Eagle defense played strong with the final score was 4-0 for Anderson County.

Next up for the Eagles was Danville at 2pm and midway through first half the Eagles scored early with a goal from Allie Ledford.  Danville came back in first half to tie score at halftime.  Second half Danville scored again to take 2-1 lead but Eastern keep up the pressed and were rewarded when Erin Miller passed to Allie Ledford who crossed the ball to Savannah Gregorchik who put the ball in back of the net.  The final score was 2-2 and Coach Mozejko seeing good progress each half for the Bluegrass Games.
  Girls Season Starts

The 2011 ladies trek begins on July 18 and quickly turns around with JV and Varsity to compete in the Bluegrass Games next week.  Coach Amanda Blanchard has joined the program as JV coach to work with returning Coach Jill Mozejko to continue the success for EHS girls soccer
