Eastern Jamboree Notes and News

This was an exciting way for local teams to kick off the season and get an early gauge of their strengths and weaknesses.  All games were held at Eastern High School, in Middletown.  The varsity teams scrimmaged on the newly enhanced Soccer Field while the Junior Varsity teams scrimmaged on the soccer field next to the main field.  A full complement of High School referees were provided giving the event a first class tournament feel.  All of the participating teams played hard and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship.  Thanks to all of the EHS supporters for manning concession stands, admissions, and other booths.  Thanks also to Shively Sporting Goods for providing a Tent for various soccer supply purchases.

Varsity Teams played Two 40 minute halves while the Junior Varsity played Two 30 minute halves.  Each game had a 10 minute Halftime Break.  These games counted as ONE Scrimmage for each of the High Schools.

There were some great games between terrific local teams:  Eastern (Hosts), Waggener, Southern, Doss, Butler, North Oldham, Oldham County, Woodford County, Male, PRP, and Bullitt East. Eastern High School wants to thank these High Schools and all of their supporters for helping make this tournament a success.
